Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a Night Shift supervisor to ensure departmental operations align with goals in quality, efficiency and safety. You will manage staffing, follow SOPs and GPPs, and uphold food safety standards on a nightly schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years of supervisory experience (poultry preferred), and knowledge of HACCP and USDA sanitation guidelines. Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Agriculture, Operations Management, or Business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years supervisory experience; poultry industry experience preferred.
• HACCP knowledge and experience.
• Familiarity with USDA sanitation and pre-operations guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are fulfilled with correct staffing daily and follow SOPs and GPPs.
• Adhere to product quality and packaging specs; address defects per plan; maintain food safety standards.
• Meet department metrics (BMPH, Cost/lb, PPMH, A Grade%).
• Follow HR/Safety policies; process time-off requests; complete safety and certification training.

Ensures the successful execution of department operations, while ensuring procedures, people and resources are aligned to accomplish established goals regarding quality, efficiency and safety. Night Shift.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensuring orders are fulfilled and operating with correct staffing numbers daily. Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good production practices (GPPs) for the department.
• Following product quality and packaging specifications, executing plans to address defects and necessary improvements. Following food safety regulations and correcting deviations.
• Meeting department metrics; BMPH, Cost/ lb., PPMH, A Grade %.
• Following prescribed Human Resources/Safety policies and procedures, completing Kronos and Oracle HCM time off requests on a timely basis, completing safety and certification training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Agriculture, Operations Management and/or Business.
• 3+ years’ demonstrated supervisory experience in lieu of degree and previous poultry experience preferred.
• Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) knowledge and experience.
• USDA regulations on sanitation and pre-operations guidelines.
