Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Cut and Sew Superintendent Manager in Hickory, NC to oversee daily operations of the Cutting and Sewing Departments. This role requires hands-on leadership in a furniture upholstery environment and close collaboration with floor teams to meet production goals.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of supervisory experience in cut and sew within upholstered furniture, strong Lean manufacturing knowledge, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and SAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 5+ years as a Cut and Sew Superintendent in an upholstered furniture factory.
• Ability to work with all levels of the company.
• Excel, Word, and SAP skills are required.
• Technical knowledge of cutting and sewing operations.
• Knowledge of Fabric and Leather standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Cut and Sew departments with the assistance of managers.
• Maintain quality control standards, safety standards, and labor efficiencies.
• Work closely with the upholstery floor to resolve any quality or production issues.
• Identify and address fabric and leather issues working through our Purchasing Department.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
