Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking a reliable general laborer to support our mill and fabrication departments in Birmingham, AL. You will follow safety rules, operate basic machinery, assist with carbon steel tubing fabrication, and perform routine quality checks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Opportunities for general help supporting our mill and fabrication departments.
• Follow instructions to safely operate machinery to fabricate carbon steel tubing for customers.
• Perform routine quality checks.
• The ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
• Avaliability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• This is a physical fast paced job which is critical to production.
• Ability to comprehend documents such as safety rules, work instructions, etc.
• Required to walk and stand for extended periods and be capable of operating power equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in as a general laborer or operator in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrates a commitment to working safely.
• Can work well as part of a team and follow directions.
• Comfortable with some heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
