FedEx Logistics is seeking an import documentation coordinator in the Indianapolis area to handle US customs documentation, classification of goods, and data entry with a focus on top-tier customer service. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and customers to ensure timely, compliant shipments.

A HS diploma is required, with a preference for at least 6 months of related work experience; paid training is provided and overtime may be required during peak periods.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; no industry experience required.
• Minimum 6 months of work experience preferred.
• One year of experience using computer systems with data entry, document creation and navigation of standard software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation for US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods.
• Provide impeccable customer service.
• Classify goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet or customs.
• Perform data entry and processing of import related documentation for submission to US Customs.
• Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements.
• Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
• Work closely with internal staff, other FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high level of service.
• Process agency brokerage shipments.
• May handle remote filings.
• Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.
