FedEx Logistics in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a detail-oriented documentation coordinator to manage import paperwork for US Customs and government agencies. You will provide excellent customer service, perform data entry, and ensure accurate classification for customs release.

The role requires HS Diploma or GED, 6 months of experience, and at least 1 year using computer systems for routine tasks. A hybrid work setup is available within 50 miles of the location.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.
  • Provide impeccable customer service and communicate with customers, carriers, brokers, and internal staff.
  • Data entry and processing of various import related documentation for submission to US Customs; may handle PGA's (participating Government Agencies).
  • Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with all record keeping requirements.
  • Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
  • Work closely with other internal staff, departments, other FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high level of service to customers.
  • Process agency brokerage shipments; may handle remote filings.
  • Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.

Job description

Responsible for coordination of the documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.

Provide impeccable customer service

Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from database, SOP's, tariff book, internet or customs.

Data entry and processing of various import related documentation for submission to US Customs and may handle all PGA's (participating Government Agencies)

Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with all record keeping requirements.

Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.

Work closely with other internal staff, departments, other fedex operations, and customers to deliver high level of service to customers.

Process agency brokerage shipments.

May handle remote filings

Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.

Performs other duties as assigned. Paid Training Provided.

A minimum of one (1) year of experience using computer systems in a professional, educational, or comparable environment with the ability to perform routine tasks such as data entry, document creation, navigation of standard software applications, and operation of basic office equipment.

Handle high volume of work. Handle time sensitive work. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Ability to use multiple systems and reference material. Interact with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, management of all levels, internal departments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST
  • Location: This is a hybrid role; must reside within 50 mile radius of location.
