Job summary

FedEx Logistics is recruiting for an entry‑level documentation coordinator to manage customs paperwork and data entry for import shipments. You will coordinate with US government agencies, provide strong customer service, and maintain compliant shipment records.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to handle high volume with attention to detail. Training is provided, and strict adherence to regulations is required.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required; no industry or work experience required.
  • At least 1 year of general computer-system usage experience for data entry, document creation, and navigation of standard software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.
  • Provide impeccable customer service.
  • Data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs.
  • Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record keeping requirements.
  • Adhere to all international importing regulations.
  • Work closely with internal staff and departments to deliver high level of service to customers.
  • Process agency brokerage shipments.
  • Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; paid training provided.

Job description

Responsible for coordination of the documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.


Provide impeccable customer service


Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from database, SOP's, tariff book, internet or customs.


Data entry and processing of various import related documentation for submission to US Customs and may handle limited PGA's (participating Government Agencies)


Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with all record keeping requirements.


Adhere to all international importing regulations.


Work closely with other internal staff and departments to deliver high level of service to customers.


Process agency brokerage shipments.


Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.


Performs other duties as assigned. Paid Training Provided.


HS Diploma or GED required. No industry experience required. No work experience required.


A minimum of one (1) year of experience using computer systems in a professional, educational, or comparable environment with the ability to perform routine tasks such as data entry, document creation, navigation of standard software applications, and operation of basic office equipment.

Handle high volume of work. Handle time sensitive work. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.


Ability to use multiple systems and reference material. Interact with internal staff, management of all levels, internal departments.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong attention to detail, applying complex concepts, research, working with BOL's, product codes, or coding. Excellent time management and Intermediate or above skills with MS Office - Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint etc.

  • Work independently in a high-volume time sensitive work environment.


Pay Transparency

Pay

$16.85 to $18.85


Additional Details

Shift: 6am to 2:30pm Monday- Friday. Mandatory overtime may be required during periods of high volume to include Saturday. In addition, working on company-recognized holidays may be necessary.
