Job summary

D.B. Group S.p.a. in Stockbridge (Atlanta area) seeks a Customs Brokerage Entry Writer who will support our Customs Brokerage Team.

You will analyze and validate import documentation to ensure compliance with US laws and coordinate data entry in brokerage software. The role requires 3–5 years in Entry Writing, knowledge of US customs rules, and experience in international logistics. Strong communication, problem solving, and proficiency with Cargowise are essential; we offer competitive salary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/ GED/ High School Diploma required.
  • 3–5 years of Entry Writing experience.
  • Knowledge of US customs rules and regulations.
  • Experience in International Logistics and Cross-Border Transportation.
  • Strong understanding of classification, FDA and clearance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems; Cargowise is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and validate import documentation for US entry submission.
  • Enter shipment and customs data into brokerage software.
  • Communicate with US Customs, PGAs, clients and colleagues clearly.
  • Prioritize work by ETA, service level, last free day, and transport mode.
  • Provide proactive shipment status updates to clients.
  • Classify entries per SOP and guidance from licensed brokers/classification specialists.
  • Adhere to company policies, schedules, and attendance requirements.

Your Role
As Customs Brokerage Entry Writer you will play a key role in supporting our Customs Brokerage Team.


In this position, you will be responsible for :

  • Analyze and validate import documentation and data to ensure they are in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations prior to entry submission to U.S Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA)
  • Enter required shipment data and customs data into the brokerage software.
  • Communicate and provide timely responses to US Customs or other PGAs, clients, coworkers, and supervisors in a clear, and concise manner. Review and monitor all Customs rejections
  • Prioritize work based on estimated time of arrival, (ETA) and product service level, last free day, and transportation mode.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, under the limited supervision and advice of the department supervisor or manager, by proactively informing clients of shipment status.

Classify entries as per the client SOP, Parts Database, and or/direction from Licensed Customs Broker/Classification Specialist.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, assigned work schedules, and attendance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelors / GED / High School Diploma
  • Organized, detail oriented and exceptional Problem-Solving Skills
  • In-depth knowledge in classification, FDA, and clearance-related requirements.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in Entry Writing.
  • Experience required in International Logistics, Cross-Border Transportation and Supply Chain.
  • Sound Knowledge of US Customs rules and regulations, ability to read and understand the regulatory language and troubleshoot basic Customs entry issues (ABI,ACE related, AMS)
  • Computer Knowledge is a must (Cargowise will be a plus)
  • Good Communication and Customer Service Skills


Location: Stockbridge (Atlanta)

  • Gross Annual Salary: $55,000 – $70,000, commensurate with experience and seniority,
