Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in customs broker operations or as an entry writer preferred.
  • Experience with OGA filings and classifying goods is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer experience and ensure positive reviews.
  • Process ISF entries and customs clearance for various shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

Job description

Job Type: Full-Time (No Travel Required)

Type: HYBRID - 1-2 days in office and rest work from home

Company: Clutch Global Logistics, Inc.

Work Location: Remote and 555 Waters Edge Ste 115 Lombard, IL 60148

Basic Overview of Role and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the below function.

  • Manage the customers experience and work to ensure a happy and positive review
  • Process all ISF (Import Security Filing) entries
  • Assemble entry packets for submission to Customs and approve applicable documentation
  • Customs clearance of air, ocean, road, and rail shipments
  • Process all entries via ABI in a compliant manner so that all CBP and other government agency requirements are fulfilled
  • OGA processing
  • Obtain Freight Release
  • Facilitation and management of duty payments and ACH account
  • Classification of goods and rating of commercial invoices
  • Interface with U.S. Customs and any other government agencies
  • Ensure compliance with Clutch Global Logistics, Inc. internal policies and procedures
  • Recommend solutions to drive efficiencies and foster continuous growth
  • Manage deliveries of LCL and air freight from US port/airport to customer door as needed

Experience of an Ideal Candidate:

It is preferred, but not required, that candidates have the following:

  • Related professional experience working with CargoWise system
  • At least 2 years of experience as an entry writer or in customs broker operations
  • Experience with classifying goods
  • Experience with OGA filings
