Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-focused Customs Entry Specialist to prepare and process customs entries, review data, and verify duty policies to ensure compliant shipments into the United States.

You will collaborate with CBP and other agencies, resolve entry issues, and maintain accurate billing and documentation. A high school diploma and 2+ years in customs entry work are expected, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software such as Cognos, SAP, and CargoWise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in customs entry/processing.
• Familiarity with CBP or Other Government Agencies (OGA).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with financial systems such as Cognos and SAP preferred.
• Preferred experience with CargoWise (C1).
• Thorough analytical skills.
• Proficient written and verbal skills.
• Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
• Must pass background check requirements and Form I-9 verification.

• Process customs clearance and confirm all necessary data and documents are available
• Investigate, resolve, and communicate operational or entry issues

• Work directly with Customs and Border Protection and other government agencies
• Review entry details and verify compliance
• Enter all billing charges into the system
• Participate in ISO audits and documentation updates

Requirements

• Required 2+ years’ experience working in customs entry/processing
• Familiarity working with Customs Border Patrol (CBP) or Other Government Agencies (OGA)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with financial systems such as Cognos and SAP preferred
• Preferred experience working in CargoWise (C1)

• Preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must pass background check requirements related to felony convictions
