Job summary

Livingston is seeking an Import Specialist to coordinate release and entry processing for complex shipments. You will create customs entries, interpret documentation, and ensure data accuracy for release, rating, and billing.

The role requires working with clients, carriers, and internal teams to maintain compliance and timely deliveries. The position emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and adherence to SOPs, with opportunities to leverage automation tools and grow in a fast-paced trade

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience
• Required: High School/GED or equivalent
• Familiar with customs laws and procedures

Responsibilities

• Coordinate release and entry processing across shipments.
• Create customs entries with client records and documentation interpretation.
• Data entry of shipment information for release, rating and billing.
• Verify duty value using invoice details and sale terms; select correct HS code.
• Collaborate with team to obtain missing documentation or instructions for release.
• Verify release conditions and rating compliance (e.g., free trade certificates).
• Escalate release issues to appropriate team members.
• Support day-to-day Release Operations and utilize automation tools.
