Job summary

Seaboard Solutions in Miami is seeking an experienced Import Specialist to manage the end-to-end shipment import process, including ISF, entry processing, and government agency resolutions to ensure timely execution and regulatory compliance. The role requires three years of entry writing or brokerage experience, deep knowledge of U.S.

Customs and HTSUS, and bilingual English/Spanish; proficiency with ABI and common office software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of entry writing and/or brokerage operation experience.
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations.
• Thorough knowledge of the HTSUS.
• Knowledge of FDA/OGA process.
• In-depth understanding of U.S. import process.
• Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel & Outlook, ABI).
• Strong organization and time management.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
• Detail-oriented with multi-tasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Classify import items and notify Customs to determine duties.
• Train and advise team in Customs regulations, classification, and valuation.
• Maintain current customs compliance documentation for audits.
• Receive, review, and process high-volume import entries; classify goods.
• Process documents through ABI; arrange delivery and invoicing for services.
• Review and monitor Customs rejections and client inquiries.
• Adhere to domestic and international shipping regulations.
• Communicate clearly with clients and coworkers; provide timely updates.
• Assist with special handling tasks and process improvements.
