Job summary

Metro Customs Brokers in the US (a subsidiary of Omnitrans Inc.) seeks a Customs Brokerage Processor to join our Processing Team. Location includes the NY City area, Garden City, Rouses Point, and Buffalo.

You will validate and process commercial documents for CBP entry release requests, determine tariff classification and valuation, ensure ACE compliance, and support the PAPS call center and daily workflow.

Qualifications

Completion of vocational or technical degree.
At least 3 years customs brokerage experience.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Customer service oriented.
Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
High level of autonomy and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure shipment files have proper documentation (invoices, packing list, manifests, declarations).
Review documents for missing information needed to rate shipments (origin, additions, deductions).
Process missing information requests and return files to Client Representative.
Establish value for duty and apply valuation adjustments as required.
Determine suggested Tariff Treatment and identify proper HS code.
Ensure ACE reporting elements are compliant.
Process urgent files and manage daily workflow.
Support PAPS call center and related clerical duties.
