Job summary

Deutsche Post's DHL Express is seeking a Customs Brokerage Supervisor to oversee tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume checks for goods moving across borders. The role involves reviewing invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with applicable federal and foreign regulations.

You will manage customs clearance operations, lead a team of about 30 with two direct reports, and drive policies, training, and performance management to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 3-5 years’ experience in related field, including at least one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate customs clearance activities efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
• Establish, monitor, and revise policies and service standards for customs clearance operations.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are consistently administered.
• Responsible for meeting key performance indicators targets for a given product.
• Supervise a staff of approximately 30 with two direct reports. This person will be responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff.
• Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes
