Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of specialized experience including detaining violators and enforcement of import/export laws.
• Ability to make rapid, accurate judgments on regulations and procedures governing entry and departure from the U.S.
• Graduate-level education can substitute for experience or be combined with experience.

Responsibilities

• Detain suspected violators using proper law enforcement methods.
• Enforce laws related to importing, exporting, and international shipping.
• Conduct interviews to gather information for case actions.
• Perform risk assessments and identify potential threats.
• Participate in inspections of individuals and conveyances.
