Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a central DHS telephone console or similar device.
• Answer calls, forward and transfer as required.
• Greet customers and determine their needs, directing them to the appropriate contact person.
• Provide information about Rhode Island benefits programs and services at the initial entry point.
• Maintain leaflet racks and disseminate printed literature and correspondence.
• Record work activities and perform clerical tasks when not handling calls.
