Job summary

DW Distribution, part of Specialty Building Products, is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Lancaster, TX to support our retail and big box customers. You will handle pricing, quotations, order placement, and delivery scheduling while coordinating with the outside sales team to maximize opportunities.

You will respond to pricing requests, manage inquiries, and provide follow-up with customers. This role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and proactive

Qualifications

• High school diploma; a 2-year degree preferred.
• 2-4 years sales experience, building industry experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills including service-oriented telephone manner.
• Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.
• Attention to detail and highly motivated.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Must understand and possess good business and selling principles and negotiation skills.
• Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organization and administration skills.
• Self-starter, pro-active and the ability to take initiative.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound and outbound calls related to sales inquiries to provide pricing and availability, as well as information about products and distribution services.
• Coordinate with Outside sales to maximize opportunities; network with customer inquiries regarding product selection, orders, prices, quotations, and deliveries.
• Inform customers of unit pricing, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics within the retail sector.
