We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, customer-focused person to join our team as a Relationship Manager II.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, analyze, target, and generate a consistent referral stream from qualified financial referral sources.
  • Provide relationship management to new and existing financial firms.
  • Present information and demonstrations to financial firms about the advantages of college savings and my529.
  • Develop, track and maintain information and contacts using CRM.
  • Manage and utilize internal resources to provide customer support as needed.
  • Train my529 Operations team regarding limited power of attorney (LPOA) platform logistics and customer service matters.
  • Represent my529 at conferences and meetings.
  • Stay proactively engaged with clients to ensure service is functioning as intended and adding value.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work and the ability to travel up to 15% of the time. (Travel and responsibilities may fall on weekends or after 5 p.m.)
  • All other tasks assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience or a Master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
    • Assumes work equivalency (1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience).

Skills:

  • 2-5 years of experience in account management, business development or other customer-facing relationship where customer satisfaction is key.
  • Proven ability to prospect, nurture, and develop new business/account opportunities.
  • Working knowledge or experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, identify opportunities for process improvements and resolve issues.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects varying in scope and complexity, with a high level of urgency.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferences

Bachelor’s degree with preference for financial planning, business or accounting, or the equivalent work experience in a related field.
