A Customer Success Manager (CSM) plays a vital role in fostering strong relationships between a company and its clients. They act as a bridge, ensuring that customers derive maximum value from the product or service while addressing any challenges that may arise. By proactively engaging with clients, CSMs gather feedback, provide insights, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

How can you make an impact?

As a McGraw Hill Customer Success Manager (remote opportunity), you will champion communication and collaboration with all internal Account Team members to monitor and support the renewal, expansion, and overall success of our customer accounts by monitoring key account health needs.

This role does require up to 70% travel into your designated territory. Candidates must live in California or Arizona, and be authorized to work in the United States. The Customer Success Manager will divide their time between the district and their home office.

What you will be doing
  • Manage a book of business and pursue expansion opportunities.
  • Drive renewal readiness through ongoing engagement.
  • Create and maintain Customer Success plans that track business goals.
  • Conduct renewal conversations with stakeholders.
  • Own the full journey from kickoff to renewal.
  • Participate in team learning sessions, learn insights, and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Represent customer goals, feedback, and needs in product support and leadership forums.
  • Maintain up-to-date CRM data, success plans, and renewal/opportunity stages.
  • Collaborate with Sales and RevOps teams to prepare quotes, understand pricing tiers, and ensure customer alignment.
We're looking for someone with:
  • Bachelor's Degree (required).
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer success or edtech sales experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
  • Experience with CRM systems and customer success tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to present to a group of decision-makers.

The pay for this position is $62,000-$100,000 annually; however, the base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
