You will assist job seekers by identifying opportunities, providing referrals, and advising on the local job market, resumes, and interview skills. A high school diploma or GED and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce development or career counseling helpful.
• Knowledge of local communities and labor market.
• Able to learn and use computers, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work with diverse customers and communication styles.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and detail-oriented abilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers by telephone, virtually, or in-person to assess goals and assist job seekers transitioning to a new position.
• Review and identify job opportunities for customers and provide referrals to qualified candidates.
• Provide guidance on the local job market, employment services, resumes, and interview techniques.
• Develop constructive working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Seek ways to improve workforce services to meet labor market needs.
• Contribute to Career Center performance goals and follow up with customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
