Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to handle phone and email inquiries, maintain customer accounts, and process orders for strategic accounts. The role involves communicating order schedules and potential delays to customers and sales staff, and may include add-on sales based on customer needs.

The position is onsite in Fort Worth, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with occasional overtime including weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of packaging products or distribution preferred.
• Experience with project management and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; English fluency; bilingual preferred.
• Proficient data entry and MS Office knowledge.
• AS400 is a plus.
• Available to work on the last day of each month to process month-end closing.
• Occasional travel.
• Heavy RFQ processing.
• Call center environment; headset required.
• Sales support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive phone and email inquiries from existing and potential customers.
• Maintain customer accounts, inquiries and orders, including processing product inquiries or samples.
• Communicate order schedules promptly to customers and sales staff; inform about delays when necessary.
• Prepare, enter, and monitor customer orders for strategic accounts.
