Job description

Symetra offers a thrilling chance to become part of our team as a Customer Solutions Specialist!

About the role

Serve as a resource to all inbound Symetra callers who no longer have an active agent, assisting them with current and new Symetra life insurance and annuity products. This role involves providing advice about their existing products and potential selling new products. This role provides strategic guidance on current products and supports the assessment of new product opportunities. Serve as a resource to all of Symetra's current orphaned customers and other potential Symetra customers.

What you will do
  • Advice/Guidance: Become an extension of the Individual Life and Retirement customer service teams in supporting policyholders and beneficiaries who need more advanced assistance and guidance that only a licensed agent can offer, and who are not currently associated with an independent agent. This may involve recommending changes to current products.
  • Conduct needs-based analysis and/or evaluation of suitability of products and services. Sell non-variable life insurance and annuity products. Submit and track new applications for customers. Provide ongoing support and guidance as the agent of record going forward. This includes continuous communication through calls and emails and policy reviews with the customer no less than annually.
  • Develop deep expertise in Symetra's legacy and currently sold life and annuity products, as well as service and operations processes. Serve as a resource for internal teams, including customer service, sales, operations, claims and other key stakeholders. Build and maintain close relationships of communication with other internal departments to best serve our customers. Create and implement programs aimed at improving our service and support of our customers. Support overflow calls and other tasks for service and operations teams as needed. Conduct administrative tasks as needed.
