Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Customer Service/Inside Sales professional for first shift. The role includes taking telephone orders, assisting customers in-store, and supporting the Outside Sales team.

Requirements include a High School diploma, 1+ year in customer service/inside sales, and a valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days. 21+ years old, DOT medical; comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of Customer Service/Inside Sales/Counter Sales preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• No DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years.
• Two years driving experience or completion of truck driver training with equipment like Linde's.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions or moving violations in past 2 years.
• DOT physical license or ability to pass a medical exam is required.
• Current Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• You must be 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Receive and enter telephone orders; answer questions; resolve issues and trace order status or shipments.
• Performs Counter Sales serving customers who visit the retail store.
• Provide sales support to Outside Sales team and evaluate suitable products and programs.
• Promote add-on sales of gases and high margin hard goods accessories.
• Maintain customer records and pricing; outbound calls to Retail and small customers.
• Back-up Relief Truck Driver duties as needed.

• Performs Counter Sales servingcustomers who come into the retail store
• You will work closely with and providessales support to Outside Sales team\\
• Evaluates and recommendsappropriate product, equipment, and/or programs
• You will promote 'add-on' sales ofgases and high margin hard goods accessories
• Maintains customer records andfiles, including accurate account setup and pricing
• You will perform outbound calls toRetail and small 'B' customers
• Sells product at minimumdiscount to achieve target margins
• Backup Relief TruckDriverduties as needed
• Other duties as assigned
