You will partner with customers, sales, and internal engineering to translate requirements into practical connector designs, prepare cost estimates, and support new and existing programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rapid proposal development, and travel 10-20% to foster customer relationships and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering or customer-facing roles.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable 3D modeling software and MS Office.
• Understanding of product costing, cost estimating, and selling price considerations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers with the sales team to understand application requirements and propose technically sound, commercially viable solutions.
• Review customer specifications and develop product design proposals for new and existing programs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing analyses for management review.
• Build a thorough understanding of the company’s products, engineering capabilities, and manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical guidance to field sales and internal teams throughout the proposal and development process.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, purchasing, and program teams to support new product launches.
• Travel 10-20% to support customer relationships and business development.
