Fastenal Co. is hiring an entry-level Customer Site Packaging associate for our Chambersburg, PA location. You will package products, operate packaging equipment, and keep the work area clean in a fast-paced distribution center.

The role is full-time with a 2:00pm–10:00pm shift, offering potential schedule flexibility after onboarding and training. Candidates should be 18+, possess strong communication skills, be self-motivated, and able to lift 25–50 lbs (up to 100 lbs). Benefits are provided.

OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Customer Site Packaging, you will facilitate the movement of product through our customer site. We strive to integrate EHS & Sustainability considerations into all our business decisions, plans, and operations. This is an entry level position based out of 1080 S Main St, Chambersburg, PA 17201. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspecting and packaging product
• Using a computer to perform job
• Running a variety of packaging machines
• Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks over long periods of time
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
