Job summary

US Tool Group is seeking an on-site Operations Manager at one of our major automotive manufacturing customer facilities in Michigan (Livonia or Dearborn). The role requires supervising a team of 10+ and coordinating cross-functional activities across purchasing, inventory, and vendor communications.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe, efficient site operations, addressing customer concerns, leading training, and developing quotes for cost savings initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with high-level customer contacts
• Experience in contract compliance
• Experience with purchasing and ERP systems
• Inventory management experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and software
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience working with and managing cross-functional teams
• Technical knowledge of cutting tools and MRO products
• Knowledge of industrial vending equipment
• Demonstrated supervisory skills leading a team of 10+
• Ability to perform essential functions with/without accommodation

Responsibilities

• Oversee all site operations
• Address customer concerns in a timely manner
• Ensure employees are properly trained and working safely
• Extensive interaction with staff including scheduling, problem solving, inventory, and team building
• Discipline employees as outlined in the company handbook
• Interact with receiving personnel regarding incoming deliveries
• Investigate inventory discrepancies
• Report pertinent issues to Program Manager
• Interact with customer and suppliers regarding project management
• Participate in Cost Savings Program
• Assist with developing quotes as needed
• Manage customer reports—development, distribution, accuracy
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings with customer
• Other duties assigned
• Lifting up to 50 lbs
