Job summary

Florida Tile, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Handler in Portland, Oregon. The candidate will manage inventory, ensure accurate shipping, and perform warehouse duties. Experience in inventory handling and basic math skills are required, along with the ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.

Job description

Summary

This position will be responsible for all functions of inventory handling. Responsibilities include maintenance of inventory, receipt, shipment of goods, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare orders by pulling material from stock.
• Participate in the shipping of company goods to various customers.
• Verify accuracy of shipments.
• Process paperwork and signatures of shipments.
• Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
• Pull orders via pick ticket and handle pick ticket process.
• Load and unload delivery trucks for receiving stock and preparing for transport.
• Participate in physical inventory to verify stock and identify gains/losses.
• Clean warehouse for a safe and sanitary workplace.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
• Utilize computer-based inventory, tracking, shipping, and ordering systems.
• Serve as a backup driver for the delivery truck.

Qualifications

• At least two years of inventory handling experience.
• Ability to perform and understand basic math and written procedures.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• English & Spanish speaking ability preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and schedules with minimal supervision.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Warehouse experience is a plus.
• Flooring or tile industry experience is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED.
