Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply is a fourth generation, family-owned wholesale landscape, irrigation, and outdoor supply company in Tulare, CA, seeking dependable team members for operations. This role combines customer service, warehouse tasks, and local deliveries, with on-the-job training to set you up for success from day one.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Basic math and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer calls, field questions, and build customer relationships.
• Pull, stage, and load customer orders including stone, soil, mulch, and hardscape materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked warehouse and yard following safety standards.
• Receive and stock deliveries and transfers; assist with inventory counts and accuracy checks.
• Load and unload materials using company delivery vehicles; deliver to local job sites with world-class customer service.

Responsibilities

This role supports the day-to-day operationsin a fast-paced wholesale environment serving contractors and industry professionals.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers, answercalls, fieldquestions, andbuildcustomerrelationships.

Warehouse & Yard Operations

• Pull, stage, and load customer orders, including stone, soil, mulch, and hardscape materials.

• Maintain a clean, organized,well-stocked,and welcomingwarehouse and yard,whilefollowing all equipment and material-handlingsafetystandards.

Inventory Management

• Receiveandstockdeliveriesandtransfers.

• Assistwith cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.

Delivery and Transportation

• Loadandunloadmaterials using companydelivery vehicleswhile following all safety protocols.

• Safelydelivercustomer materials in company delivery vehicles to local job sites, while providing world-class customer service upon arrival.

What we are looking for…

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50–75lbsregularly
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Basic math and communication skills
• An eagerness to work as a teamand deliver world-class customer service
• Warehouse associate experience
• Delivery driver experience
• Forklift Certification
• Knowledge of irrigation, plumbing, or landscape materials(remember, our training rocks)
• SpanishBi-Lingual isalways aplus
• Prior Outdoor Supply Industry Experience
• Must be comfortable working most of your shift on your feet and performing repetitive physical tasks, such as stooping, squatting, and lifting items above your head.
• Must be comfortable operating and making deliveries on a daily route in an Isuzu NRR 650 or similar commercial vehicle.
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Basic math skills
• Be able to lift 50-70 pounds
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments

• Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions (willing to train the right candidate)
• Proven work experience as a Customer Service Associate, Sales Associate, or similar role.
