Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply in Jacksonville, FL is hiring for an operations team member who will handle customer service, warehouse duties, inventory support, local deliveries, and sales assistance. This hands-on role offers training and room to grow within a family-owned landscape and outdoor supply company.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to lift 50-75 lbs, comfortable indoors and outdoors, and bilingual in Spanish and English; experience in warehouse or delivery is a plus, though full training

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Eagerness to work as a team and deliver world-class customer service.
• Forklift Certification preferred.
• Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Warehouse or delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales: Greet customers, answer calls, field questions, and build customer relationships; assist with product selections.
• Warehouse & Yard Operations: Pull, stage, and load orders; maintain a clean, organized warehouse and yard; follow safety standards.
• Inventory Management: Receive stock, perform transfers, assist with cycle counts and accuracy checks.
• Delivery & Transportation: Load/unload materials in company vehicles; deliver to local job sites with customer service.

This role provides a variety of activities—including customer service, warehouse operations, inventory support, local deliveries, and sales assistance—making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working both indoors and outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Though preferred, this hands-on, foundational role doesn't require prior industry experience; we provide world-class training to set you up for success from day one!

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales
  • Greet customers, answer calls, field questions, and build customer relationships.
  • Support customers in selecting landscape materials, outdoor supplies, and irrigation product recommendations.
• Warehouse & Yard Operations
  • Pull, stage, and load customer orders, including stone, soil, mulch, and hardscape materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and welcoming warehouse and yard, while following all equipment and material-handling safety standards.
• Inventory Management
  • Receive and stock deliveries and transfers.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.
• Delivery and Transportation
  • Load and unload materials using company delivery vehicles while following all safety protocols.
  • Safely deliver customer materials in company delivery vehicles to local job sites, while providing world-class customer service upon arrival.

Requirements

What we are looking for…

• Delivery driver experience
• Forklift Certification
• Knowledge of irrigation, plumbing, or landscape materials (remember, our training rocks)
• Spanish Bi-Lingual is always a plus

• Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions (willing to train the right candidate)
• Proven work experience as a Customer Service Associate, Sales Associate, or similar role
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
