Job description

Customer Service Representative - Supervisor Up to $35/hour DOE In-office | Monday-Friday | 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

You are the reason the customer chooses Brda Electric.

Some people hear a ringing phone and think, “Someone else will get it.” You hear an opportunity. An opportunity to solve a problem, build trust, schedule a job, and help a customer who may be frustrated, stressed, confused, or dealing with an electrical issue they need handled now.

At Brda Electric, our Customer Service Representatives are often the first impression of our entire company. We are looking for someone who is fast, confident, organized, personable, competitive, and relentless about follow‑through.

If you thrive in a high-volume environment, can juggle multiple conversations without dropping the ball, and get genuine satisfaction from turning an inquiry into a booked appointment, keep reading.

About Brda Electric

Brda Electric has been serving the Greater St. Louis area for more than three decades. We are a family-owned, growth-focused electrical contractor providing residential, commercial, and solar electrical solutions throughout the region and beyond. Our customers rely on us for electrical repairs, panel upgrades, EV charging, generators, commercial projects, solar, and emergency electrical service.

Our electricians do incredible work in the field. Your job is to make sure the customer gets to them.

The Role: Own the Customer Experience

As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), you will be on the front lines of Brda Electric. You will manage incoming calls, texts, emails, web inquiries, and leads; schedule appointments; support dispatch; follow up on opportunities; and help ensure that legitimate leads do not fall through the cracks.

This is not a passive customer service role. Phones will ring. Schedules will change. Customers will need answers. Leads will need follow-up. Multiple things will happen at once, and occasionally you will need to make an outbound call instead of waiting for the next opportunity to come to you.

Speed matters. Accuracy matters. Follow-up matters. Results matter.

What You'll Own
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, texts, emails, and online inquiries.
  • Turn qualified inquiries into scheduled appointments whenever possible.
  • Schedule residential, commercial, and other electrical service opportunities.
  • Support technician dispatch and help keep the daily schedule moving.
  • Manage incoming lead flow and ensure opportunities do not fall through the cracks.
  • Follow up with customers and prospects when additional communication is needed.
  • Provide clear, professional, friendly, and confident communication with customers.
  • Maintain accurate customer, lead, appointment, and job information in company systems.
  • Support job closeouts and other administrative functions.
  • Identify problems, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • Take ownership of customer needs and help determine what needs to happen next.
You Might Be the Right Person If...
  • You answer quickly. You understand that when a customer reaches out, waiting too long can mean losing the opportunity.
  • You don't get overwhelmed easily. Five things can be happening at once, and you know how to prioritize without panicking.
  • You like to win. You enjoy goals, performance metrics, and the satisfaction of turning a lead into a scheduled appointment.
  • You can sell without sounding like a salesperson. You listen, build trust, communicate value, and confidently guide someone toward the next step.
  • You have urgency. You do not leave things sitting in your inbox and hope they resolve themselves.
  • You pay attention to details. The wrong address, technician, date, or service can create a much bigger problem downstream.
  • You can handle people. Happy, frustrated, confused, or hurried customers all receive the same professional, solution-focused service.
  • You take ownership. Your first response is not “that is not my department.” You figure out what needs to happen next.
What We're Looking For
Required
  • Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong phone communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of calls, texts, emails, and customer inquiries.
  • Excellent computer and typing skills.
  • Strong organization and multitasking abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Confidence communicating with customers.
  • Strong follow‑up and problem‑solving skills.
  • A genuine sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ability to build positive, professional relationships with customers and coworkers.
Preferred
  • Experience in the electrical, HVAC, plumbing, construction, or another skilled‑trades industry.
  • Residential or light‑commercial service experience.
  • Dispatching or scheduling experience.
  • ServiceTitan experience.
  • Inside sales, appointment‑setting, or call‑center experience.
  • Experience working with leads, CRM systems, conversion goals, or performance metrics.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role is not measured by simply being busy. It is measured by impact. You will help drive results by responding quickly, booking appointments, following up consistently, supporting an efficient dispatch process, keeping information accurate, and helping ensure valuable opportunities do not get lost.

Did we answer the customer quickly?

Did we understand what they needed?

Did we schedule the opportunity?

Did we follow up?

Did we give the technician the information needed to succeed?

Did the customer leave the interaction feeling confident they chose the right electrical contractor?

Schedule & Compensation

Schedule: In-office position, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Additional after-hours opportunities may also be available.

Compensation: Up to $35/hour depending on experience. Uncapped commission opportunities.

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capability. This is a performance-oriented environment, and we believe strong contributors should have opportunities to earn accordingly.

Benefits
  • Company-paid employee health coverage
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Commission opportunities
  • Professional growth opportunities

This role is not for someone who wants to sit quietly, answer a few calls, and watch the clock. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a growing company, can handle momentum, follows through, and takes pride in being dependable.

Every phone call, text, email, and inquiry represents a real person—and a real opportunity.

The electricians may do the work, but the customer experience starts with you.
