Job summary

The Royal Group, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, is seeking a Customer Service Representative at our Indianapolis, IN facility. You will take and process customer orders, address inquiries and complaints, maintain customer files, and coordinate with sales and accounting to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include tracking warehouse stock, providing timely confirmations, supporting sales, and ensuring accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Computer data-entry experience required.
• Experience in the corrugated box industry preferred.
• Bi-lingual, preferred.

• Track warehouse items to ensure availability and maintain min/max levels; analyze monthly usages and restocking needs.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

The Royal Group, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our Indianapolis, IN facility. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for taking and processing customer orders and addressing all customer inquiries and complaints.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

• Receive customer orders and order changes either directly from customers or from sales representatives and record, process and place orders timely and accurately.
• Receive and respond to customer complaints and questions and follow-up with appropriate internal personnel as required to improve customer service.
• Maintain customer files.
• Work with Accounting for account questions or disputes from customers and coordinate accounting credits when necessary.
• Fax or e-mail confirmations and other information to customers.
• Assist sales personnel as appropriate and assist in generating supplemental sales.
• Track warehouse items to ensure availability and that agreed upon minimum/maximum levels are maintained; analyze monthly usages and re-stocking needs per customer.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer data-entry experience.
• Experience in the corrugated box industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Application knowledge and skill for computer data entry.
• Application knowledge of products and production processes.
• Quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions, and volumes.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram (graphic) form.
• An ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists.
• Bi-lingual, preferred.
