Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson is seeking a full-time remote Customer Service Representative based in the Charlottesville area. The role handles inbound calls regarding eligibility, benefits, and billing, with on-site travel possible if connectivity issues occur. Working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Day Shift.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in customer service, data entry, scheduling, and familiarity with Epic Beaker. Prior high-volume call center and healthcare experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience required.
• Previous data entry experience required.
• Prior scheduling experience required.
• Familiar with Epic Beaker preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume call center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls to address issues related to member eligibility, plan prescription benefits, and claim payment issues.
• Assist with patient services such as updating billing information, establishing payment plans, resolving payment inquiries, or patient scheduling.
• Research and resolve telephone inquiries from members or patients.

Overview: Sentara Martha Jefferson is currently seeking a full-time remote Customer Service Representative.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in the Charlottsville area. You must be able to travel on-site if you have connectivity issues.

Standard Working Hours: Must be able to work between the hours of 8:0AM to 5:30PM

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for all areas of customer service as it pertains to research and resolution of telephone inquiries from members or patients. Primarily responsible for handling incoming calls to effectively address issues related to either member eligibility, plan prescription benefits, and claim payment issues or patient services needs such as updating billing information, establishing payment plans, resolving payment inquiries, or patient scheduling.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent Required

Experience

• Two years of customer service experience required
• Previous data entry experience required
• Prior scheduling experience required
• Familiar with Epic beaker preferred
• Experience in a high-volume call center preferred
• Healthcare experience preferred
