PurposeResponsible for order taking and scheduling concrete deliveries throughout Reno, Nevada and other surrounding areas. Must work efficiently and according to customer specifications while optimizing available resources. Customer satisfaction is the number one priority.Focus & ScopeEssential duties and responsibilities, i.e. those which are basic, necessary, and an integral part of the job, are indicated below:- Receive and schedule job orders for all batch plants.
- Effectively communicate with customers to obtain all necessary project information.
- Schedules mixer trucks to ensure maximum utilization and efficiency while meeting the needs and expectations of customers
- Accurate and timely order entry through Command Alkon and TrackIt systems utilizing logistics tools.
- Prepare delivery tickets, and related shipping documents and assign drivers for scheduled deliveries.
- Receive cash payments for shipments from drivers and prepare reports of cash and charge sales.
- Administer short and long range planning, coordinate schedules and material supply.
- Confers with sales personnel while building schedule to maintain high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager, Sales Staff, Quality Assurance and other departments to develop effective logistics plans.
- Works under a Zero Injury culture and adhering to all company safety policies and practices.
- Provides leadership to direct reports and peers regarding business objectives and execution.
- Conducts business in a professional, legal and environmentally sound manner in adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Role Qualifications and Requirements, & Competencies- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience in delivery and ticketing, quality control and customer service. Ready Mix industry preferred.
- Must demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, remaining composed and professional. Must demonstrate strong reactionary skills and time management practices.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to speak, write and understand English at a proficient and understandable level.
- Must be proficient in computer data entry
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Knowledge of computer software programs including Word, Excel and Outlook; helpful if familiar with department specific programs such as Command Alkon.
- Prior experience with union work rules, labor relations
