Who We Are: Mental Health Support Services (MHSS) is the provider of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder services for children and adults in Chesterfield County. Are you a customer service professional that anticipates needs and takes proactive steps? Great! We are currently seeking a compassionate Customer Service Representative to serve as the first point of contact for the individuals that receive our services.
High school diploma or GED; one year of customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Five or more years of customer service experience in a medical or related setting preferred; experience with centralized scheduling preferred. Experience entering information in databases preferred.
Working knowledge of the principles and practices of customer service; of standard office practices and procedures. Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with the public; to interact with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds and of varying ages; to perform mathematical calculations; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred. Ability to use an electronic health record system preferred.
