Job summary

Job Summary:

Customer Service Rep 1: This position involves working with the public to provide motor vehicle services including licensing, titling, testing, and permits at a local MVD field office. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of work products, document security, and compliance with Arizona statutes and departmental policies.

Customer Service Rep 3: Similar to Rep 1, but requires 1 year of previous Motor Vehicle experience or successful completion of training with adherence to performance standards (typically 6 months).

Job Duties:
  1. Process credentials and title work, examining documents for accuracy and security, complying with ADOT and MVD rules.
  2. Assist customers with inquiries and provide service for vehicle or credential records through research and document review.
  3. Administer testing, including operator knowledge and skills testing, conduct vehicle inspections, and capture customer information.
  4. Determine, collect, and evaluate fees, and handle financial transactions securely.
  5. Participate in process improvement activities to enhance efficiency and customer service.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of ADOT MVD rules, regulations, and processes.
  • Customer service principles and practices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Typing proficiency for productivity.
  • Ability to adapt to changes, work outdoors if needed, and operate office equipment.
Preferences and Requirements:
  • Experience in customer service, cash handling, and data entry preferred for CSR 1.
  • One year of MVD experience in T/R and DL preferred for CSR 3.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license is required.
  • Compliance with driver’s license record checks and insurance if operating a vehicle on state business.
