The role focuses on processing residential product inquiries and orders, delivering accurate order processing, timely communication, and exceptional service through the full order cycle. You will support internal teams and customers, build strong relationships, and handle questions about order changes, parts, quality issues, returns, and credits with a detail-oriented, customer-first

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, sales administration, order management, or related role.
• Two years of prior Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing the customer orders for the day while handling all types of questions from customers regarding order changes, spare part needs, quality issues, and cancellations.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers through professional, responsive communication.
• Communicates effectively by phone and email regarding customer service matters and order status.
• Handles complaints and returns professionally, including corrective actions, returns, and credits.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Quanex is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team located in Zanesville, Ohio.

The Customer Service Representative performs a range of duties to process residential product inquiries and orders. This position requires a detail-oriented and customer focused professional to serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring accurate order processing, timely communication, and exceptional service through the order cycle.

Your Credentials:

• Experience in customer service, sales administration, order management, or a related business support role.
• Two years of prior Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Highly driven, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, databases, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical information.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers of all kinds

The rate for this position is $21/hour - 23/hour with bonus potential.
