About The Role

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative I for a temporary (approximately 3–4 months) full-time position. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for individuals self-directing Medicaid services in the home, along with their caregivers. This role is responsible for providing accurate information, problem resolution, and support via phone and digital platforms, ensuring each interaction aligns with Palco’s person-centered approach.

Responsibilities

  • Handle 40+ inbound and outbound calls daily
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with individuals of various educational and communication backgrounds
  • Provide accurate information on program eligibility, guidelines, and enrollment
  • Assist with form completion and understanding of program requirements
  • Document case notes in web-based systems accurately and timely
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with company policies
  • Recognize caller needs and initiate follow-ups or referrals as necessary
  • Deliver professional handling of escalated or sensitive customer situations
  • Participate in training sessions, departmental meetings, and ongoing development
  • Comply with all remote work policies
  • Represent Palco in a professional and customer-focused manner

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience in a customer support role, preferably in a call center
  • Familiarity with Medicaid or CRM systems is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving, active listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage difficult interactions with professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, internet, and electronic documentation
  • Must have access to reliable high-speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
