Akkodis is seeking a Customer Service Representative for a contract position with a client in Jacksonville, FL (100% Remote). The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Insurance/Health Insurance, experience with claims and benefits, and bilingual in Spanish.

Pay Range: $18/hr-$20/hr on W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Description

Location: Jacksonville, FL (remote)

Duration: 3+ years contract

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service via phone or email to clients, providers, and plan participants, following specific call handling instructions.
  • Assist providers and members with online portal registration, login, and navigation.
  • Educate providers on using Automated Benefit Claims system.
  • Handle approximately 5 calls per hour (35 per day) to meet productivity standards.
  • Limit after-call work to 30 minutes daily.
  • Ensure call hold times do not exceed 2 minutes without follow-up.
  • Close customer service cases within 15 business days, prioritizing urgent issues.
  • Understand plan benefits and access training resources to provide accurate information.
  • Follow technical guidelines for system management and meet home technical requirements.
  • Maintain proficiency in all client servicing systems and keep user logins current.
  • Stay updated on policies and procedures via email communication.
  • Document all calls thoroughly unless instructed otherwise.
  • Maintain a call quality score of 90% or above.
  • Handle escalations according to procedures, ensuring appropriate resolution and follow-up.
  • Communicate proactively with management about training needs or queue times.
  • Adhere to daily schedules in the contact center system (Ring Central).
  • Review complex or incorrect claims and recommend corrective actions.
  • Seek assistance from leadership or support teams when needed, providing accurate information.
  • Remain available when not on a call and communicate off-queue needs in real time.
  • Report concerning calls, technical issues, or performance issues immediately.
  • Participate in mandatory team meetings and report technical issues promptly.
  • Work from home privileges depend on consistent connection quality and may be revoked if issues persist.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Prior healthcare or insurance experience required. Courses in HIPAA and Medical Terminology are helpful. Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, keyboarding skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Outlook are required.
