Job description

Customer Service Representative

Increase customer satisfaction and retention by providing members, customers, patients, and providers with accurate, consistent, timely, and meaningful information. Prepare them to fully utilize and maximize the benefits of their coverage. Build rapport and collaborative relationships with current and prospective members in accordance with compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Answering and documenting all incoming contacts to determine their nature and responding to complex calls related to specialized product lines or queues.
  2. Responding professionally to inquiries from internal/external customers, demonstrating skills aligned with the organization's philosophy of providing extraordinary customer relations and quality service.
  3. Initiating contact with appropriate health plan, medical group, and facility personnel to obtain relevant information.
  4. Evaluating data to determine and implement appropriate actions to resolve complaints and coordinate service recovery.
  5. Documenting conversations with members according to procedure.
  6. Following established procedures to meet customer/member needs.
  7. Applying knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks with a substantial understanding of the assigned skills.
  8. Understanding relevant policies, processes, and customer needs.
  9. Assisting the department in meeting customer needs and reaching department expectations.
  10. Completing required training and effectively using available tools.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two years of customer service experience.
  • No time off in the first 90 days, including doctor's appointments.
  • Will start in training, then nesting, and finally production phases.
  • Training hours: 8am-4:30pm (local time, M-F).
  • Nesting hours: typically 8:30-5 or 11am-8pm.
  • Production hours: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 9:30PM and weekends 7:00AM - 9:00PM, with weekends required once in production.
Additional Details:

Entry level position with a pay of $18.00/hr. Fully remote role. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, PTO, and more. Application deadline: May 13, 2025.
