General Summary

As a Family Dollar Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, completing transactions, and answering questions about the store and merchandise.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers in a positive and approachable manner.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Assist in unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transport items from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Stock shelves and recover merchandise independently.
• Handle customer funds accurately and process transactions using the POS system.
• Remain aware of customer activity to ensure a safe shopping environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain effective store operations.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Preferably high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents.
• Experience: Prefer experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 55 lbs., and meet demands of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Availability: Flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills and Competencies: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, and relationship management.
