Emerson Hospital is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our healthcare team. You will enhance the patient experience by providing compassionate service and assisting with meal selections in alignment with physician-ordered diets.

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, you will handle patient inquiries in a courteous and timely manner while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with the dietary and healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $24.00 / Hourly

Shift: Variable Shifts

Hours: 6am-2:30pm, 7am-3:30pm, 9:30am-6:00pm, 10am-6:30pm

Job Summary

Join our healthcare team as a Customer Service Representative where you will play an important role in enhancing the patient experience through compassionate service and nutritional support.

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, this position is responsible for handling patient inquiries in a courteous, professional, and timely manner. The ideal candidate will work directly with patients to assist with meal selections, support various dietary needs, and help ensure patients receive nutritious meals that align with physician-ordered diets.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of office, clerical, customer service, or healthcare administrative experience desired
• Prior hospital, medical office, dietary services, or healthcare experience preferred
• Professional telephone and communication skills desired

Licensure and/or Certification

• None required

• Working knowledge of the Meditech system preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
