Job summary

Veritiv Corporation in Chicago area is seeking a hybrid Customer Service Representative to deliver high-touch service, proactively communicate with customers, and ensure timely resolutions for orders and inquiries. The role requires entering orders in SAP and coordinating with Sales Representatives.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of related experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders accurately into SAP and follow up by phone, email, fax, or via Sales Reps.
• Support inventory control by reviewing historical data and managing stock during order processing.
• Provide internal support to Outside Sales Reps and assist with sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Review customer orders and contracts for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare quotes, sample requests, proposals, and generate sales leads.
• Handle customer complaints related to products, coordinating returns and replacements.
• Process order changes and communicate updates to ensure customer satisfaction.

HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR LOCKPORT OFFICE

Job Purpose

Our Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing outstanding high-touch service to our customers and will oversee their experience with our company. This role will provide our customers with proactive communication, follow through, and a speedy resolution to their questions, orders, quotes, and all other inquiries.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately enter customer orders into the SAP system and provide timely follow-up via phone, email, fax, or through Sales Representatives.
• Support inventory control by reviewing historical data and assisting in managing stock levels during order processing.
• Provide internal support to Outside Sales Representatives and assist with sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal departments and other divisions to resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Review customer purchase orders and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare customer quotes, sample requests, formal proposals, and generate sales leads for potential accounts.
• Manage customer complaints related to product use, including coordinating returns and replacements of defective parts.
• Process order modifications and communicate changes to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Salary: $53,100 - $56,000 annually
