Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative
Provide exceptional customer service to corporate clients and manage policy renewals for property and casualty (P&C) insurance. Responsible for handling existing client policies, advising on coverage needs, processing modifications, converting quotes into new policies, and resolving billing/claim issues. Collaborate closely with underwriting insurance companies to ensure efficient execution of transactions and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties
- Handle policy renewals for corporate property and casualty insurance policies with existing clients, advise on coverage needs, and convert quotes into new policies.
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as maintaining accurate client records, file management, and handling claim reporting on behalf of policyholders.
- Propose renewal quotes and maintain various business insurance policies (including automobile, fire, property, marine, farm/crop, etc.).
- Deliver insurance policies, endorsements, and related documents (including invoices) to policyholders, and manage premium collections.
- Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails regarding policy inquiries, coverage issues, billing, premium audits, and consumer complaints.
- Process client policy modifications with high accuracy based on provided data, ensuring all policy requirements and appropriate forms are fulfilled.
- Evaluate customer needs and select appropriate insurance carriers that offer the requested coverage to underwrite policies.
- Stay up-to-date on new marketing efforts and product knowledge utilizing all available resources to effectively answer inquiries and suggest process improvements.
Working Hours / Working Style
- Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Based on the candidate's local time zone)
- Style: Remote / Hybrid. Candidates living within commuting distance of our offices in GA, TX, or LA may be asked to work in a hybrid setup. Candidates residing in other regions will be 100% fully remote.
Salary / Benefits
- Salary: $29.00 - $30.00 / hour

Qualifications
- Japanese-English bilingual professional (Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages).
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License (5+ years of experience preferred; 2–3 years considered depending on background).
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance principles, customer needs assessment, and quality standards for service.
- Proficient in insurance agency management systems and software, specifically Applied EPIC, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Pro/Foxit, and RingCentral.
- Excellent active listening, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills to recognize and proactively solve complex policy or billing problems.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, document processing, and financial/premium reporting.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict policy deadlines.
- Service-oriented and persuasive communicator who can build trust and maintain excellent relationships with both internal teams and external clients/carriers.
