Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Grants & Administration, provides customer service for Development Services programs, water utility payments, Jackson County tax services, licenses, permits, and inspections; processes payments and deposits from City departments and facilities; and provides departmental administrative support. Pay $20.04 per hour

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in an administrative capacity and/or customer service work required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of construction methods and terminology strongly preferred.
  • Considerable knowledge of clerical office practices and procedures, business English and spelling.
  • Considerable knowledge of computer use, including word processing, spreadsheets, data bases, and other specialty software.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Skills in typing, dictation, minutes, operation of standard office equipment and telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions; work within established routines and procedures, work with limited direct supervision; maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, city officials, elected officials, and other City employees.
  • Ability to learn specialized terminology and/or procedures and practices, including reading maps or other types of information.
