Job summary

OBE is seeking a Customer Service Rep 1 to provide product and service information, process orders, and resolve issues under the Customer Service Manager's supervision. The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and problem solving in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will document interactions, enter orders for production, and coordinate with sales and production to meet customer expectations. Some exposure to manufacturing floor settings is expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service in a customer-facing role.
• 1–2 years of construction or manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with AS400 or SAP is preferred.
• Strong organizational and listening skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings or specifications.

The Customer Service Rep 1 is focused on providing product/service information, processing orders, resolving issues, and reports to the Customer Service Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who has an attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency) strong work ethic/reliability and is a problem solver . A vital member of the Customer Service Department , this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

• Maintain broad knowledge of products and services of the organization
• Document customer interactions and transactions
• Data entry of faxed, emailed, and phoned in orders for production
• Coordinate between sales and production to meet customer expectations
• Maintain good communication channels with product and support staff
• Communicate with customers to determine expected delivery date and time.
• Coordinate and resolve product or service problems
• Participate in educational opportunities internally and externally to enhance knowledge of product and job skills
• Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.
• Any additional duties as assigned by management

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of 1 year previous customer service experience in customer facing role
• A minimum of 1-2 years experience in construction or manufacturing industry in any setting
• Preferred experience with AS400, SAP
• Strong organizational and listening skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Great ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Coordinate and prioritize work with deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to read and communicate requirements in fractions
• Excellent ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings, blueprints and specifications
• Up to 10% of role involves working in a manufacturing floor environment
