About the Job
Start pay $10.00 per hour. This full‑time role includes flexible scheduling to accommodate student or other commitments, and offers opportunities for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
- Make accurate monetary change and process sales transactions.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Communicate verbally and written with customers and co‑workers.
- Demonstrate strong motor coordination and eye‑hand coordination for precise tasks such as shaping dough and using pizza peel.
Training
Orientation and on‑the‑job training provided.
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to comprehend and give written instructions.
- Strong verbal and telephone communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Reliable, punctual, and customer‑facing attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for most tasks; working on tile or linoleum surfaces.
- Walking and short distances on floor or walkway.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds for deliveries; stacking onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carrying items from 3 to 30 pounds.
- Pushing or pulling trays on dollies with force up to 7.5 pounds.
- Climbing stairs or ladders infrequently.
- Forward bending at waist in assembly area (30–45 seconds repetitions).
- Reaching both above and below 72" as needed.
- Continuous use of hands for tasks requiring forearm and wrist strength.
Safety and Work Environment
- Exposure to varying temperatures (36°–90°+) and abrupt changes.
- Fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°+ during cooking.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts present.
- Working in cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
