Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the face of our exceptional service. You’ll help customers, dispatch and return equipment, and use U-Scan technology to manage rentals.

The role includes inspecting equipment, answering questions, and processing invoices in a fast-paced retail environment. We offer on-the-job education, flexible interviews, and bonuses; starting pay is $15.00+ per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (implicit in requirements).
• Customer service experience preferred (from responsibilities).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and maintain equipment on the lot, including fluids.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and drive a forklift (certifications offered on employment).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
