Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Buffalo Grove, IL seeks a Customer Service Representative I to provide frontline support for product inquiries, pricing, and lead times. You will manage the full order process from acceptance to confirmation, communicating scheduling updates and handling warranties or returns as needed.

Under the Pricing and Customer Service Manager, you will work with Oracle, understand bills of material, and navigate interdepartmental responsibilities to meet customer needs efficiently.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2+ years progressive customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and verify the accuracy of orders from customers via email, EDI, and portals, using Oracle for booking and scheduling.
• Process Commercial, International and Transit & Bus/Relay orders with understanding of Inco Terms and order impact.
• Initiate actions for order changes and maintain customer information files.
• Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the complaint and determining solutions.
• Provide gold standard quality service to internal and external customers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and participate in ongoing training.
