Job summary

Pomp's Tire Service in Joliet, IL is seeking a Customer Service / Order Processing Representative to support our daily operations and ordering process. You will handle inquiries, manage orders, and coordinate with warehouse and logistics to ensure timely fulfillment.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, excellent communication, and proactive problem-solving to maintain outstanding customer service across all touchpoints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in customer service or order processing is preferred, automotive/tire industry a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with order entry systems and basic office software is a plus.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong organizational skills.
• Cash application experience preferred.
• Confidential and ethical conduct required.
• Able to lift 10–25 pounds as needed.
• Familiar with standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, emails, and messages from customers, dealers, and partners
• Assist customers with product inquiries, order status, and general support
• Enter, update, and process orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment
• Handle returns, exchanges, shipping issues, and other order-related concerns
• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
• Provide friendly, professional, and proactive communication at all time
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations

What You'll Do:

• Ability to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
