Job summary

Becklar is hiring for a part-time role in our safety operations. The position offers 16–29 hours per week with starting pay at $14.50 per hour and potential to $15.00 after 90 days.

Graves position pays $15.50 per hour with potential to $16.00 after 90 days. Benefits include tuition reimbursement up to $1,000+ annually, free mental health assistance, and a 401(k) match. No sales or surveys involved; you will help keep people safe.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ with high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Willing to work Day/Early morning shifts and at least one weekend day or every other weekend, plus holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process alarm signals quickly and professionally in stressful situations.
• Dispatch authorities to emergencies and verify help is on the way.
• Assist alarm company partners with system tests to ensure functionality.
• Accurately document all alarm responses in the computer system.
• Learn and use new software to complete multiple tasks.
• Engage in ongoing training to ensure accurate handling of alarms and growth with the team.

What You'll Do

• Process alarm signals quickly, accurately and professionally while managing stressful situations.
• Dispatch the proper authorities to subscribers' locations in emergencies, verify that help is on the way, and notify responsible parties.
• Assist our alarm company partners with alarm system tests to ensure subscriber's alarms are working properly.
• Accurately document all responses for the alarm on the computer.
• Learn and use new software to complete multiple tasks.
• Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure the accurate handling of alarms and to foster your professional growth with our team.

Skills Needed

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED
• Must be available to work Day/Early morning shifts
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
• We are a 24/7 business to protect our subscribers. To ensure each team member gets schedule flexibility you must be willing to work 1 weekend day each week or every other weekend. You also must be willing to work holidays.
• Ability to make a 6 month commitment to work here.
• Must be able to pass a 2 week fully-paid training class.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
