Job summary

Becklar Enterprise Monitoring is hiring for a part-time role in Ogden, UT. You will quickly process alarm signals, dispatch the proper authorities, and document responses, while learning new software and improving professional skills.

The position is 16.50–18.00 USD per hour, with progression after 90 days. Growth opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and benefits are offered to part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Available to work Day/Early morning shifts and at least one weekend day.
• No sales or surveys; focus is on safety and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Process alarm signals quickly and professionally.
• Dispatch authorities during emergencies and verify help is en route.
• Assist partners with alarm system tests and ensure alarms work properly.
• Accurately document all responses in the computer system.
• Learn and use new software and participate in ongoing training.

What You’ll Do:

• Process alarm signals quickly, accurately and professionally while managing stressful situations.
• Dispatch the proper authorities to subscribers’ locations in emergencies, verify that help is on the way, and notify responsible parties.
• Assist our alarm company partners with alarm system tests to ensure subscriber’s alarms are working properly.
• Accurately document all responses for the alarm on the computer.
• Learn and use new software to complete multiple tasks.
• Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure the accurate handling of alarms and to foster your professional growth with our team.

Skills Needed:

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED
• Must be available to work Day/Early morning shifts
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
• We are a 24/7 business to protect our subscribers. To ensure each team member gets schedule flexibility you must be willing to work 1 weekend day each week or every other weekend. You also must be willing to work holidays.
• Ability to make a 6 month commitment to work here.
• Must be able to pass a 2 week fully-paid training class.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
